The letter below is short on purpose. It does not lecture the Council about facts they already have. We have met with them and agree on the landownership, the city's commitment to have more public trails, and what their own study found. Instead it asks two direct questions and your own story, which is the only part nobody else can write.
One or two sentences. Who walked here, how long, and what you cannot do now. This is the part they actually read. Let them sit with what we have lost with their inaction.
Your letter
Your letter already goes to Mayor Fotheringham and Council Member Sundwall, because the Arbor Lane fence sits in District 1. Adding the member for your own district means one more person has to write back to you.
You have not added your own sentence. The letter still sends, but without it this is one more form email and it will be counted as one.
